Our Mission...
Our approach is to remain small and focused. Our choice is to not simply breed Sorcha, but breed well and wanted! Though Sorcha, herself, is imported, there are now plenty of American bred Gypsy horses out there looking for homes and we simply do not want to add another. We are looking for you as much as you are looking for us!
We strive to carry on a tradition begun by the Gypsies and Travellers hundreds of years ago across the “sea”, with much respect to the culture that brought us this wonderful breed. Though we now find ourselves promoting our new American fondness for the Gypsy breed and all its monikers, we travel to Appleby yearly to visit with our Gypsy friends and breeders, experience and remember the roots of our passion and love for theses horses and keep in touch with the heart of what it truly means to possess "Gypsy Gold".
We would like to find prospective "mommies and daddies" looking for Sorcha's unique and particular genetic makeup. She has been tested Homozygous for the Black (EE), negative for Crème (nn) and carries the unique Silver Dapple gene (aka Chocolate Palomino, Chocolate Taffy); as well as passing down traits from a generous Grand Sire famously known as The Boss/The Business, which include a gracious amount of mane, tail and "feather", stout body and conformation, short back, topped off with a perfectly "appled" rump and the most wonderful disposition!
You can easily see the consistency in conformation from The Boss through Sorcha and her brother, Cielo Celeste Farm's fabulous stallion, St. Clarins.
