We are pleased to announce the successful pairing of Apple Acre Sorcha with West Hill Ranches Simon! We are expecting a July 2010 foal and already doing the "Filly Rain Dance" in all our excitement. We had planned to use a breeding available to Celeste's Belenus, however...

the timing of Artificial Insemination (he's in California!), this summer and Appleby once again in June just didn't permit us to have all puzzle pieces fall in to place.

We chose instead to send Sorcha out to vacation for the summer at West Hill Ranches, where George and Kristina promised us she'd be hidden in a back pasture "Gypsy style" <wink wink> since she sticks out like a sore thumb with all that silver dapple glory and stocky body. After giving our silly maiden mare a lesson or two on just what Simon was trying to tell her all puffed up and excited, Sorcha finally did figure out boys are not just for playing with!

We are all VERY excited to see what this pairing brings and have the best of thoughts that this special bundle arriving next year will be worth the wait.
